- The Carpenter
An extremely skillful carpenter who had grown old was able to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to retire from the house building business and live a softer life along with his family. He would miss the paycheck, however he needed to retire.
The leader was sorry to see his sensible employee go and asked if he might build just one house more as a personal favor. The carpenter agreed to his proposal but he made sure to him that this will be his last project.
Being in a mood to retire, the carpenter wasn't paying a good attention to construct this house. His heart was not in the work. He resorted to poor craftsmanship and used less quality materials. It was a very unfortunate way to finish his career by building that type of house.
When the work was done, the carpenter called his leader and showed him the house. The leader handed over him some papers and also the key of front door to the carpenter and mentioned "This house is yours now, my gift to you"
The carpenter was in a shock! after hearing this, What a shame! If he had known it before that he was building his own house, then he would have made it beautiful than any other house that he ever built in his career!
our situation is same as the carpenter god has sent us to this earth to build our home and it is up to us that how well we can build it.
