  • Think Before You Judge

Doctor entered the hospitals Operation theater in hurry after being called in for an urgent operational surgery. He answered the call as soon as possible, He changed the clothes and went directly to the operation theater. He found that the boy's father was pacing in the hall while waiting for doctor to come.

On seeing him, the father shouted, 'Why did you take so much time to come? Don't you know that my son's is in critical stage? Don't you have any An awareness of your obligations?'

The doctor smiled and said, 'I am sorry sir, I was not in the hospital and I came as fast as I could after receiving the call and now, I request you to please calm down so that I can do my work'.

'Calm down?! how can I calm down, what if your son was in this situation right now, would you calm down? If your own son dies while waiting for doctor to come than what will you do??' said the father violently. The doctor smiled again and replied politely, 'We will try to do our best by God's grace and you should also pray for your son's healthy life'.

'Giving admonishes when we're not concerned is easy' Murmured the father.

The surgery continued for some hours after which the doctor came out happy, 'Thank goodness! your son is saved!' And without waiting for the father's reply he rushed on his way running by saying, 'If you have any questions, then ask the nurse'.

'Why is he is so arrogant? why he couldn't wait some minutes so that I ask about my son's condition' Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left. The nurse answered, with tears coming down her face, 'His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your son's surgery. And now that he saved your son, he went back running to finish his son's burial.'

Moral

Never judge anyone, you never know how their life is and what they're going through. Every situation has many faces and you don't know other faces of that situation so try to understand the others situation even if he had done something unusual to you.


  • A Pound of Butter

Once there was a poor agrarian who use to sold a pound of butter to the baker.

One day the baker decided to weigh the butter which he got to see if he was getting a pound or not and he found he was not. This angered him and he took the agrarian to court.

The judge asked the agrarian that is he was using anything to measure butter. The agrarian replied 'Your Honor, I am primordial. I don't have a proper measure, but I do have a physical scale.' The judge asked, 'Then how are you weighing the butter?' The agrarian replied 'Your Honor, before many years the baker started buying butter from me, and I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him.

Every day when the baker brings me the bread, I put the loaf on the scale and give him the same weight of butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the bread maker'

Moral -


' We get back what we give (Karma).'

Whenever you do something, ask yourself this question: Am I giving fair value for the wages or money I hope to make? Honesty and dishonesty will ultimately become a habit. Some people practice dishonesty so much that they can lie with a straight face. Others lie so much that they don't even realize what the truth is anymore. But who are they deceiving? not anyone then themselves.
